I received my nutritional education from Hawthorn university and through courses with Andrew Weil's Institute of Integrative Medicine. My approach to nutritional care is tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you come in for a one time consultation or for several sessions, I am here to help!

Food As Medicine
A science based approach to nutrition designed to address chronic disease  issues such as heart disease, high cholesterol and blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer prevention and care, digestive issues, food allergies, neurological challenges such as Parkinson's, depression and anxiety.
Includes a careful assessment of your current nutritional status. You are provided with a plan tailored to your specific needs.

This "hand-holding" program includes several sessions.

I went to see Saskia for nutritional guidance during mypregnancy. I am a vegan and wanted to make sure I was doing the best I could and getting all the required nutrition. Designed to create and overall healthy kitchen and food plans based on your family's lifestyle and health goals. You learn ways to help kids eat healthy and simplify mealtimes by having everyone eat the same meals.

All programs include nutritional education such as understanding food labels, calorie needs and what to look for in choosing a food product. You will learn which foods and food ingredients lead to food cravings and weight gain by stimulating certain brain chemicals and which foods lead to inflammation in the body. You will be introduced to foods that contribute to long-term optimal health and keep degenerative diseases at bay. All sessions are designed with the individual's needs, food preferences and lifestyle in mind. The sessions include lots of great handouts, food-tasting, shopping lists, etc. The program is very hands-on, empowering and most of all FUN! Through counseling and teaching, even of cooking skills, we work with you to help you reach your maximum health potential in all areas - body, mind, and spirit.
